The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) is organizing a symposium on the mutually beneficial relationship between sport and health at the Munich Fair on the eve of the next Ispo show… Free for members and non-members, it will run on Saturday, January 28 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. A representative from the World Health Organization will dwell on the need to prevent non-communicable diseases such as heart attacks, which have become the biggest cause of death. There will be other speakers from The Coca-Cola Company’s Beverage Institute for Health and Wellness and from the International Sport and Culture Association. A well-known personality from the industry, Maria Stefan, who used to run the U.S. Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA), will participate in a panel discussion, representing the American College of Sport Medicine.
